Trustees
Cambridge House is governed by the charity trustee/ company directors (collectively called the Council of Management) who are elected at the Annual General Meeting.
The council meets seven times a year to manage the business of the organisation. Each year one third of the Council of Management members stand down at the Annual General Meeting and are eligible for re-election. There is a well-defined induction process for all new members of staff, which also includes new trustee induction.
The Council of Management members are:
David Coleman – Chair

David Coleman was appointed as chair of Cambridge House in November 2009. David trained and qualified as a solicitor at City law firm Macfarlanes, where he specialises in corporate law. He is the partner responsible for training and knowledge management across the firm. As a corporate lawyer David brings to Cambridge House experience of advising businesses at critical stages in their development, an understanding of the critical role of the board of directors and experience in chairing meetings effectively. David also sits on the Parish Council of his local church, which is within the diocese of Southwark, where amongst other things he keeps a close eye on the church’s finances.
Graham Moss - Treasurer
Graham Moss became a trustee and treasurer of Cambridge House in 2011. With over thirty years’ experience in strategic finance and risk management both in the UK and overseas, he is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Even though he has worked in global financial corporations, he also has a good knowledge of the UK voluntary sector. He has always lived in south London and has a strong interest in the subject of social cohesion.
Alex Crockford – Company Secretary

Alex became a Trustee and Company Secretary at Cambridge House in 2012. Alex trained and qualified as a solicitor at Macfarlanes LLP, where he is part of the construction and engineering group, specialising in all aspects of procurement, including drafting building contracts and professional appointments. He is a resident of Camberwell and a member of LINk Southwark. He is also a member of the Society of Construction Law.
Robert Park - Trustee
Robert Park has been a trustee of Cambridge House for almost 40 years, and until recently, served as Chair. Beginning his career in the steel industry, Robert later worked in the City for a number of UK banks. He was Head of Group Strategy for NatWest before leaving to pursue an independent freelance career for 10 years. He is currently a non-executive director of Southwark NHS Primary Care Trust and Chair of Elephant Jobs, another Southwark community based charity.
Dan Metcalfe – Trustee

Dan Metcalfe became a trustee at Cambridge House in 2007. His expertise is in marketing and strategy. After running a small charity in the North East, he spent six years at Cancer Research UK in a range of fundraising and marketing roles. He then moved into public sector strategic consultancy and is currently Head of Planning and Strategy at the Department of Health.
Mike Thornton – Trustee

Mike Thornton joined Cambridge House as a Trustee in May 2011. However, Mike has been working closely with Cambridge House when Broadgate Estates Limited became a CSR partner in 2008. At Broadgate Estates Mike is responsible for a portfolio of buildings owned by their third party clients. Mike has over 14 years experience in provision and procurement of all FM and Property management services.
Shveta Shah – Trustee

Shveta Shah became a trustee in late 2006. She studied Law at university and completed a masters in International Law. At university she volunteered for a human rights NGO and has since worked in community programmes, organisational development, human rights and international development. She currently works for the International Secretariat of Amnesty International in campaigns and education.
Paul Yiannouzis – Trustee

Paul Yiannouzis has been a trustee at Cambridge House since 2008. He is a chartered engineer with over 30 years of experience in the energy and water infrastructure sectors, and has been in charge of delivering major engineering projects both in the UK and internationally. He has worked extensively in developing countries and his expertise includes sustainable development and the delivery of climate change mitigation and adaptation initiatives. Paul also serves on the Buildings Group.
Nikki Mellor – Trustee

Nikki Mellor became a trustee of Cambridge House in May 2011. With over ten years experience in strategic marketing communication agencies, she also has a postgraduate diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. In 2009, Nikki took a one year placement with Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) as a fundraising & advocacy advisor for a disability NGO in New Delhi, India. She has a broad range of experience in fundraising & CSR as well as international development.
